Texas FFA State LDE Contests

Congratulations to Community FFA as they competed in the State FFA Leadership Contest this past weekend in Huntsville.  Both the Radio Team and Senior Chapter Conducting team made it out of the preliminaries on Friday and qualified for the finals on Saturday.  The Radio Team placed 9th at State out of 611 Radio teams that competed at district, area, and state levels this year in the state of Texas.  The Senior Chapter Conducting team placed 10th at State out of 249 Senior Chapter Conducting teams that competed at district, area, and state levels this year in the state of Texas.  Radio team members consisted of Sam Scott, Leslie Smith, and J.B. Olepere.  Sr. Chapter Conducting team members included Payton Potter, Forrest Walker, Tucker Dean, Lindsey Holzmeister, Mayson Powell, Keith Houseworth, Joe Purkins, and Chelsey Peters.
